Demo Coding For Everyone?
The site was originally created by Shockwave & Parabellum as a place where they could share code. They were both old Amiga sceners and were having a lot of fun re-creating all the effects that they could remember from the old days. The group name DBF was very tongue in cheek and we released our stuff in small coding communities under this label, blissfully unaware that the scene we had loved was still thriving!
DBF Died But The Site Still Thrived!:
Even before the group DBF died, this site had gained a lot of members who liked the vibe. Some were sceners, some were not, but people were joining because they loved demos and the forum actually carried on getting busier even after DBF died!
A Scene Community Based On Respect!
If you are a coder with any interest in the Demoscene, you should take a close look at this site. You will find coders of all abilities, novice coders rub shoulders here with respected and well known coders and everyone has mutual respect for each other. The sense of friendship on this site is quite unique, sources and techniques are passed around unselfishly and freely. Help is offered readily.
There is nowhere else on the web quite like DBF, membership is free and if you want to be a part of something really special then you should register and enjoy!

Our coding challenges happen quite often, there is normally one going on. The themes are quite open leaving everyone able to come up with some truely unique ideas. Again, participating in our challenges is something we would reccommend!
