A new song :) "instants"

Hey everyone Since I'm trying to get to my habits again, I recorded a song recently. Sorry for the vocal difference between the beginning and the end, I have a "semi" voice extinction since some days (yeah that's weird, I don't understand either :S ) and the mix/record quality (good habits need time to get back )

Wow this is really professional. Sounds like oasis. Is it only you singing? What do you use for editing? You have a good voice, how old
are you? And alos, who the heck is Patrick?

of the music - although I could not say what genre is it. The complete
construction up to the end is very professional (as far as I can judge)

- Is it completey self composed ?

1) yep but maybe you noticed a little change in the voice between the beginning and the end of the song, I had some problems with my voice when I recorded the end of the song.
2) Reaper, a cheap but very complete sequencer (http://www.reaper.fm/)

1) Guitar (a cheap one ^^), a static microphone, reaper for editing, Addictive Drums for.. well the drums and some vst's for the synth

How do you do the "chior" sound? When I plug my guitar into the pc it seem sto chop off the louder bits too.

Well, I don't know what kind of tip you'd like I to tell you  If you have any question, don't hesitate to ask me but I can't ensure you I'll have the answer

erm.. the sound what ? lol sorry I don't understand ! If you're writing about a specific synth sound, the only synthetiser track I used in this song is a "mixture" of 2 vst's : a mellotron and an organ

Again, sorry but I don't totally understand :/ Do you have an audio interface/card ? If you plug you're guitar directly in your computer without any preamplifier (the ones in an audio interface as an example), the sound will be really bad :/ If you really don't have any sound interface, you can try to put a compressor and/or limiter on the guitar track to hear something. At last, you can also use an equalizer to tweak inopportune frequencies.

How long does it take you to finish up a new song in general ?

Well it depends. "Instants" took me some days since I worked on it by sessions during 1 or 2 hours, while I totally recorded my last title (I'll post it in some minutes ) this afternoon (in 3 or 4 hours I guess). The point is I compose stuff at the same time I record it, I don't like to prepare a song and record it after I composed it so it's really variable
