Yanimtn, Yanim1, Yanim2
« on: July 25, 2009 »

Hi, after typing Yanimtn (cool!) I typed in Yanim1 and Yanim2.

Quite a lot of typing (I learned lot of patience and persistance typing long listing on the CoCo!).

Yanim2 was pretty quick as i copied the engine code from Yanim1.

It looks like Yanim2 was never completed as the Enterprise is persued by cubes rather than Klingon ships.

I have  tried using `strings` in Linux to extract text from the PSV file to compare with the original in xdiff-cut.

It ignored the blank lines so everythinsg was flagged as different sections.

I picked up 2 Sony PS2 mem cards for $15 ea today, so I might load them with yabasic to play with on PS2s.
Leddemo is cool, love the `dotmation` effect!

I have absolutely no idea what you just said, but may your yanims and klingons be blessed!

Nice one. I'll have to look at these again. Fryer had some amazing stuff on Yab. I can't download this from jim's site directly, but I'll have another look at them over the weekend.

The cubes were Borg, not Klingon. :D

Ah, well, I much preferred the original series and there were no Borg in that.

Then again, Borg cubes are easier to code than Birds of Prey ^-^

Spitfire: I recon you had to be apart of the yabbasic forum clan to fully understand what's being talked about.

As far as i can remember my plan was that the entire thing was driven by the data, if you're interested at all I could try to work out exactly what the data is and how to use it.
