And just for the sake of completeness I reproduced the effect in Photon's demo a little bit more faithfully, thought I added another copy of the scroll and used a different font/colours..

Both versions rock. The second looks more old-schoolish (C64 era)
somehow. The first one would fit into Amiga era. Both are fantastic!

Wow! Just saw this thread yet and its a nice compo... i have never understand how this cool scroller was coded in pure 2d... In the age of 3D i think it would not be so hard, as long as know how to code 3D stuff ^^
