This exit is unreachable:

The robots can only move north-south and east-west
They soemtimes move diagonally, too.

D/L 011. It has the teleport in it. I forgot to add that to the first version.

v. 0.1.2 is out:

Dec 16, 2009 v. 0.1.2

1) Fixed a bug where robots would move diagonally.
2) Changed distance calculation so robots converge on character better.
3) Changed exit placement so it would not be unreachable.

I couldn't reproduce the unreachable exit bug so I just changed the placement routine to not place an exit at the border. I hope it fixes it. It seemed to work fine for me.

This makes it very predictable where a robot will move.
Maybe you can choose a bit more randomly between the two possible positions?

The game becomes quite easy when moving diagonally because you're twice as fast as the robots.

Yeah, maybe I'll just allow them to move any direction especially since you can teleport. Thanks for the input. I'll play around with this some.

That's a nice game, I had never played it before. The text graphics remind me of a game called NCSnipes which I used to love playing back in my College days :) This game is a totally different idea to Snipes, I just love the ansii gfx though. Totally retro.

I died on level 5 due to a stupid mistake.

Thanks!

I thought I would use my Glyph Maker program to make some glyphs for this:

I'll probably make an option to use either ascii or glyphs for it.

Brill game - I must get Snipes made soon.

I have encountered a bug, where the level exit was below the playable area, and I couldn't move onto it :(
