Thank you Pixel Outlaw + Benny

Sadly I had to accept the resignations of Benny and Pixel Outlaw as moderators of this forum this year.

Benny resigned just before Christmas and Pixel Outlaw decided that he needed to spend more time on study and other things too.
I din't want to let this happen without saying thank you to Benny and Ryan for all the help that they have given to this site.

As well as making fresh new posts, they were both a safe pair of hands and I really hate it that they are gone from the team now  Having said that, I have to respect their reasons for going and also for having the decency to tell me that they can't commit the time any more rather than hanging onto the position and just appearing from time to time without the decency to make way for someone new like some other people have done in the past.

I feel the same as I did when Rain Storm stepped down and when Auld decided that he didn't want to post here any more.
So, we have a few moderators left, an immense amount of hits on the site and hardly any new posts and topics.

There will be a new challenge posted soon, last time the response was rather weak, I am really hoping that the next one will have more support.

Anyway, I'm going to be thinking hard about who will fill the shoes of Benny and Ryan, but until then I just want to thank the two of them for the excellent contribution they made to this place.

Since I started this place it has been really good fun, totally useful and I've discovered some really worthy friends and I count the two of you among them.

Thanks so much Shocky for your nice words. This place means a lot for me.
By saying this place I mean all of you - the admins, moderators and members.
It's really cool to have a place like this. Even though I resigned my moderator
status - I will be visiting this place.

Hope some new moderators/users will pop up to keep the oldschool scene
spirit alive.

They have both done a great job and I am sure that we have all appreciated their efforts. I really wish that I had more time to dedicate to this forum, but truth be told, I am having a hard time finding time to code to begin with. But I always drops in to keep myself updated about what people are up to, and who knows it might change one day and I could be more active like I used to be.

I hope that someone that has the time to commit to it, will pick up the moderator gloves and do just a fine a job with it as these guys have done.

It's hard to find good staff these days, but I suppose things have to change.

I'm winding down the Game Builders' Club, so I'll have loads of time for the next challenge.

Just saw this thread It was a great pleasure!
I'm just glad that the members here get along well, it is a shame when the moderators are tyrants who have to babysit thousands of teens. Glad this is not one of those places.I'm really deep in my college education right now so I will not be visiting nearly as much. I will stop in occasionally however to see what is new. Happy coding brothers of the binary!

This has dragged up a lot of mixed emotions for me, on the one hand its sad to see. On the other you are happy that the guys are doing something for themselves. Also this will give other members the oppertunity to take up to the position and become a more active part of this community.

Speaking from personal experience you never really leave this forum. Its the atmosphere this place has achieved. People like benny and PO have contributed more than their fair share to create that sense of community. So i will say : See you guys around.
