Nice start. I really like the screen sketchy drawn logo. However in my eyes the "G" is way too large considering the rest of the logo. In addition, I think it would look better for a logo if it is aligned to one baseline and not that bended.

Well, just my 2cts.

Keep it coming!

Extruded text! That metallic one would be cooler maybe by using some real bumpmapping which would get the details outta the surface

True, the Sketch-filter adds some nicety :)

Good job!

PS. also by experimenting with the different fonts it can have great impact

Some additional tricks you could try are:

-lighting, and specular hightlights

-meshsmooth, if you can put it more polygons (with care so the original shape doesn't get hurt), your lighting looks nicer

-get rid of flatshading (per face normal) and compute averages per vertex

-add some background plane(s) and make it raytrace reflections around the place

-adding some futuristic shapes never hurted anyone (+ they are taken into account while its computing reflections )

I think they're OK too :).  It's also worth pointing you to pouet.net (refresh a few times) to have a look at all the brilliant logos there.  I think it's fair to say that none of them are letters typed along a path, many of them show graffiti-like qualities that exhibit a lot of individual design of the letters and their integration into a design that is a logo.  I think you're on the right track - you're way past trying to make a logo using Times New Roman (!) - I think it needs some more tweaking though :D

Yeah, when doing the kickass work, u need to pay attention to each letter and handcraft them individually (which takes obviously hours of time).

PS. bend-modifier is not bad btw, if you apply it with care and to just in some specific places, it can do wonders
