[LIQUID] fluide
« on: March 10, 2010 »
Hello,
after I have posted a source code, to try different water effect, here:
http://www.dbfinteractive.com/forum/index.php/topic,4108.20.html
Shockwave suggest me to enter into the liquid challenge, so I have rebuild a version for the challenge.

My program grab a screen shot (1024x768 or 640x480) of your current desktop and start to render a water effect. Use your mouse to move the "water" or press any key to exit.

My program used only pure c + win32 sdk no opengl/directx or even msvcrt, just windows and my code :-) like oldskool dos demo, it result in a tiny 6k exe.

Looks quite good. That would make a nice screensaver.

Thanks to all,
Unfortunately I have not much time to devote to the forum, I hope to spend more time on this week.

@rdc already exist a screensaver version go to the original post, next week I think to relase a final screen saver with the full source code.

Thanks, the screen saver version (post in another thread) read the desktop resolution. This version only check desktop resolution on startup to run at 800x600 or 1024x768 pixel.

All I get is a white rectangle. Still, this happens to me sometimes with contest entries. My hardware probably isn't powerful enough.

Perfect idea, small-sized water and flowing on the desktop. Awesome. I can see the window edges, how to get rid of that? Change the wnd/control where you draw to-flags?

It works on my laptop - I'm highly impressed by the framerate and the mouse interactivity.

I'll probably put pictures of people on my desktop so that I may distort them using this program. K++!
