I put together some of the chladni routines into a little demo.

Nice piece of artistic work. Loved Fire and Ice. Bump Mapping very nice and music suits well. Karma up!!

However here is my view on scene poetry:

;-) shame to spoil a perfectly good demo with bad text - but its only my opinion.

I've been very impressed with your Chladni experiments Rick, when I saw you'd posted this demo, I must admit that I had some pre-concieved ideas about what it would be like, I wasn't expecting to see so many patterns! I thought that the demo would be good but this is very accomplished indeed, the patterns are fabulous, nice colours too and the bump mapping works really well.

If you had have managed to tie this in with some kind of halloween theme it might have won a prize I think, so with that in mind.

Well done Rick, ++Karma ++Posts :)

Incredible, its amazing how far you took Chladni. Great job at putting it together, personally I don't think the wording/poetry was bad - I thought it was quite fitting actaully. Looking forward to your next release!

I fixed a little bug in this. I wasn't resetting a couple of static variables. Updated the link.

I have also added all of the demos I have made so far (such as they are :)), to my website. They are on my Software page:

Nice template / clean designed page  ;)
Although the menu is a bit irritating in my eyes ...

I have updated this demo (see link in first post): I took out the bad poetry, added a couple thank yous and three new generation techniques. This now has everything I have tried with the chladni textures. It is surprising how a simple algorithm can produce so many variations. A big thanks to those who helped me with this.

Veeeery nice. Excellent music going with it. Really you seem to have taken chaldni to the limit.
Great little demo. If you want some text why not the equations you use or an explanation of chladni, or what each seen is (chladni bump mapping)

Though I dont think it needs any.

Good job man!

Thanks! I don't think it needs any text either. It just gets in the way of the images, which is the main focus anyway. I appreciate your comments.

yup, this is pretty damn slick.. cool to see that you manage to push chladni so far.. i really liked the rotating dot chladni's :)

i got bored with chladni volumes in about 2 hours lol.. good job getting this far :P
on a sidenote, you should check out my attractive texture generator located here: http://dbfinteractive.com/index.php?topic=967.0 which is another one of those dead simple algorithms that are able to create killer patterns :)

Thanks man, I appreciate that. Your equations are the reason I made it so far. :)

That is just super work; I really like the bump mapping & voxel parts too.
