Excellent oldskool vibes as always! Ye olde scroller was a bit hard to read but looks great.
Loved the ending!

Actually I think parallax scrolling is the term I shouldíve used (although essentially the same idea as matteís). So basically 3d-ifying a 2d scene, by seperating elements in layers, so that you can create the illusion of depth by moving and scaling them at different speeds.

Iím not familiar with opengl, but I have written a few shaders in Codea (ipad coding app), which also happens to use glsl es2. So I hope Iíll be able to implement some of those shaders in my js prods one day. I gave up early on my last attempt because the examples I found seemed quite verbose. I guess should find a good webgl book, to get started for real.

Iíve also grown to dislike html, because back when I was doing a lot of js, each browser had their own interpretation of the standards, which were themselves in constant flux. Itís great to hear this may have improved nowadays. :)

Iím still a big fan of js because itís so accesible for any device with a browser.

Awesome painting!
Hopefully youíll do some matte paintings (2.5d) in the future, you can turn this into one too.
Great music as well.

Itís cool to see you getting into js and webgl, itís so easily viewable on pretty much any device. And I hope to look into webgl more seriously in the future myself.

Awesome, very cool to see some js!

So much happened in the short time I been away from it. Iím looking forward to diving back in one fine day. So much new stuff to explore.

Especially interested if audio support has improved, and how well touch interaction is handled nowadays. Also learned a bit of shader coding in the mean time, so I guess I should look into webgl as well. :)

Love all of those ideas!

Liked most of the pixel daily themes I saw. Is there a more tidy list of themes to go over?

Also love the idea of a title/intro/credits screen. And k+ for linking the metroid intro, amazing music and atmosphere.

Ecosystem simulation is a personal fascination, longstanding item on my own todo list. Might be a bit complex.

And another suggestion: open dbf theme, anything dbf goes.

Summer comp sounds cool!  8)

A super short quick challenge sounds fun as well, that would not really need a theme imo. Just whatever kind of pixels one can throw at the screen in a couple of hours.

Merry xmas guys!

Cool to see some xmas demos, will check them out once I get behind a proper computer. The crApple universe is closing in on me...

Can't import demo's to the ipad in much the same way that I can't export any of my programs from the ipad. Couch coding is so bloody convenient though, I can't even be bothered with these clumpy laptops anymore.  ;)

Anyway, merry xmas DBF et all!
