Honestly, I have no clue why it's so slow. Maybe it has to do with the dual monitor setup. Or it doesn't like your ATI/Nvidia combination. It probably can't decide which one to use. :D Or it doesn' t like french OS's. That would explain why it doesn't work for Zorro either... :P Oh and btw: all my remakes work fine on my machines. Not just the old ones.  8)

Thanks KrazyK.  ;)

Ok, I quickly put together a version based on my old "framework" for remakes. Standard 800x600 screen in both windowed and fullscreen. No adjustment to current desktop resolution, no special shebang and no use of CrapSprite() ahem I mean Grabsprite(). Please let me know, if it helps speed things up for you guys. Thanks!

Thanks for testing guys! :)

@jace: Yeah,  I'm disabling Aero with the mentioned code. I really don't know why it is so slow on some Win7 machines. It appears to be a little, but just a little, slower on my Win7 compared to my XP system where it runs just fine. And how am I supposed to fix a bug which doesn't appear on my systems. *scratching head* Seems like Purebasic isn't the best choice for coding anymore, if you want your stuff to run fine on current OS. Annoying shite! Anyway, I'll have a look at the code later eventhough I have no clue what could cause the problem... :(

Aloha!

Ok, it was about time I coded a remake again. Haven't done that in ages... It was coded rather quickly and I cheated like hell once again.  ;D The filesize might give you a hint.  Anyway, before uploading it to RR (and probably getting blamed for not using a 4:3 ratio in fullscreen ^^) along with KrazyK's D-Bug remake it'd be great if some of you guys tested it. Don't wanna have a bugfix discussion over there. ;)

Thanks in advance!

Hi guys!

Ok, due to crap weather I decided to code something. This is the outcome. Totally useless, but at least it was fun coding it and made time go by.  ;D

It's a part of the intro of the Amiga game Full Contact by Team 17 with a nice Allister Brimble tune. Maybe someone remembers it.

Enjoy!

Pad :)

PS It's only got a fullscreen mode, hence it might screw things up. You've been warned ;)

Congrats to the winners! And thx to everybody who voted for parachute pants!  ;)

O--kay, the tiles were viewed 21 times and 10 people decided to rather not download the ZIP afterwards obviously, since there's only 11 dl's so far... Dunno what to think of that. ^^
Anyway, thanks for the kind words guys. CK0 is right, it started of with a starfield and absolutely no concept and ended up with keeping that starfield for no specific reason, then add a weird background and 3 dancing MC's. All in all I'm quite pleased with it.  Now off to order some parachute pants on the internet... ;D

Cool one ck0! Your entries are getting better and better. Keep it up! I also liked the green about it, reminded me of the times I played Cauldron on an Amstrad CPC at a friends house. Good old times. <3

If you stare at it long enough you should be able to hypnotize yourself. Well done!  ;)

Really nice for your first attempt in creating a demo. Looking forward to see more from you in upcoming challenges!  :)

Windowed version runs smoothly here too. Oldschool FTW! I really like the look of it! And K++ for using Purebasic.  ;)
