Hey va!n, just in case you drop by and look at this again I am indeed fine - Things have just changed a lot in my life nowadays... Coding used to be just a hobby to me but for more than a decade now it's been my day job and I'm just not inclined to code much after spending the whole day doing it at work.

Not only that but I have children and as Benny said, I am into mountain bike racing too so things are busy at home.

I have no plans to take DBF offline and I intend to renew the site again this year when it becomes due soon.

When this forum was launched, message boards were still quite popular but nowadays there are so many different social media platforms that people seem to use other platforms to keep in touch.

It might not have many new posts but there's a lot of information here and it's worth keeping online.

I hope that everything is good with you and thanks for asking about me.

There problems with backlink spam, here are two:

1: if your backlinks are not on related sites it actually harms your SEO
2: Site admins who are pissed off by spamming nonce cunts like you may come along and leave your post online but edit your links.

Fuck you.

please remove the crap send us a copy in our pm to remember it and its done i have said what i wanted to say and still standing behind every word of it no one likes to be accused of being a thief neither would you...
Padman didn't accuse you of stealing anyone's work, he said you made a wrapper to display other people's work and regardless of what you say, that is exactly what you have done.
I will not be removing any of the text you posted and I won't be sending you a PM, I have better things to do.

So please do me a favour and do your research first before you write down big words and judgements cos some day you might offend the wrong people and bad things might happen okay...
I won't tolerate people making threats here, this topic is now closed and you can read the terms of use if you want to keep access to DBF.

It's cool that you seem to have made something to single file demos and allow them to work offline just from a geeky point of view which is why I liked it on Facebook.
Also good that you have permission from Totorman to use his sources.
I don't see this for one minute ever replacing the we are back website and I doubt I'd use it myself, so as acoding exercise yeah I can see you would have had fun making it and I  respect that part.

I can't get my head around why you'd want to add your own splash screen in front of someone elses remake unless it was you who made the remake, maybe there is a readon for this which I'm missing? Perhaps you can explain.

Lastly Padman has contributed loads of cool remakes to the community, his opinion is as valid as yours and I'd appreciate it if you didn't make personal derisory comments about him on this message board.

I'm 44 years old now, most of us are getting a bit long in the tooth now and we should know how to have a discussion without insulting each other.

Thanks and good luck with it.

Great first demo, I really, really like the fireworks... I tried many times to make them and never ever got the movement as cool as you did there.

Thanks for keeping this tradition alive maybe I'll get my finger out and have a go next time.

Lots of nice oldschool effects here, I enjoyed it.. Reminded me of good old Amiga effects :)

Very nice, I like the collisions with the pumpkins & the tilted text writer looks good to me too. It's like a creepy cracktro :)

13
Nice to see something original, it would indeed make a good game if you had some way of getting the eyes through the screen unscathed..

14
I really like the music too and good art skills, especially the pumpkin :)

Hi Yogi, welcome :)

Good luck with purebasic

For me, I've been coding as my day job for quite a number of years now and I don't have the same appetite to code when I come home from work.  You're more likely to find me enjoying my free time with my family or on one of my bikes.

I keep meaning to pop on and go through what's been posted but I just don't seem to get around to it.

Anyway, even though it's been a long time since I posted and even longer since I read the forums I still care about DBF & will continue to keep it online because above all it's good to know that the people who I've met here over the years and who became friends are still fit and well.

Im going to use this to annoy my son.

Yes Canopy, I believe that's why Im getting the popup.

The problem I have is that it has been validated, many times not only by me but by a Microsoft technician and I'm still getting the popup.  :suicide:
