What operator is asigned to ^ I was expecting xor but looks like thats not what it is. Also what algorithm are you using for the expression parser? I was working with something similar and found this great tutorial but eventually decided that Dijkstra's Shunting yard is a better solution.

Good luck,

I'm looking forward to seeing what changes. Hopefully we'll get another 10 years out of it.

Well done guys this was a tough one. I really don't know where you guys found the inspiration.

Good to hear, Trying to support multiple versions of Windows at this size limit is much like Programming Punched Cards in a way. I still need to cunch some bytes before this is truely useable though.

Kurt Gödel, the man who coined the phrase "Infinity is Not A Number" (it's not equal in value to any number on the number line and since by definition the number line contains all numbers... you get where this is going)

The same man that proved the incompleteness of mathematics using naught but boolean logic. My hero.

Object Oriented Basic! This whole OOP thing is really after taking off aint it. And I said it would never catch on.

I've been following this series for some time now, its great to see that you've brought it near to completion. I'll have to give this a good going over next time I have some hours spare. I've always been a massive fan of Rougelikes, though I've never actually played the original Rouge, still I have a collection of them in my Games folder and this will be a welcome addition.

Karma racing - the slowest yet most rewarding of all extreme sports ;P

But seriously I mentioned an idea to Shockwave back when I was on the mod team, that we should have a score below our avatar saying how many times a person has been thanked for a particular post.

It helps greatly to narrow down the really helpful posts from all the information it can get lost in. When you're searcing through
topics its a great way to cut to the chase. It also encourages those who have helped others.

I mostly give karma without posting to tell about it, I would imagine that its the norm I dont know where exactly where most of my karma came from. But it would be nice to see which posts were seen as most helpful.

And honestly, how many write ASM these days?
As a matter of fact more code is written in assembly then in any HLL, especially in todays disposable microprocessor world. But thats another story for another thread.

I personally never was a fan of .NET, Why would you wish to learn this...
System::AreWeThereYet::NearlyThere::HereItComes::ICanFeelIt::MessageBox("Hello World");

When this is the alternative...
MessageBox(0,"Hello World","Hi",0);

Much nicer, This has to be an order of magnitude faster then the meathod I use for similar effects, which is a simple random noise + smooth. And this is dynamic. Worthy of some Karma I think now that I can see it in a better light.

When the only tool you have is a Hammer...
Every problem resembles Spam in a Can.
Where did you get the inspiration for this one?

This one is beautiful. Impressed me much. Thanks for the video rbz.

Great idea, missed half the text when I started to press F6 trying to figure out how it was all happenin so I've had to rewatch it. Excellent stuff

Thanks for the video, This is an awesome idea and you pulled it off well.

Sorry but I'm gonna need a video for this one, no shader support
I like the idea.

Fast and smooth,
Celeron D 3GHz

Darn it, no shader support here. Any chance to see a video?

One of the corner stones of the demoscene is that we tend to generate our content procedurally. We often use texture generators instead of TGA's, Geometry rather than 3DS. Music generated on the fly can be synchronized to the display more easily then wav files.

Added MessagePump and hidden cursor so that problem should be fixed. the code is only 471 bytes but I have to pad it out with zeros to 513 bytes, still haven't gotten round to correctly calculating the required parameters in the header.

Edit : check first post for latest version which is no longer padded
