Hi ...

interesting topic. There are already  some good selling figures of livepapers. I definately think that this might be an interesting option for demoscene coders.

Keep us informed about your progress.

Best,
benny!

PS:
By the way - ten years ago before the era of flat screens - I thought there were also a market for demoscene effects in screensavers (as a marketing instrument).

Hey - welcome to this forum. Cool to see another game programmer. Are you also doing non-interactive visual stuff ie. demoscene fx ?

An explosion effect for a little game project.

Wow .. very cool. Looks a little bit like https://www.shadertoy.com/view/4ssGzn

Kirl, I really like how you approach the themes of the competitions here. It is always something I never have thought of and very creative.

Thumb up!

Wow ... fantastic scene. Runs really smooth here. Beautiful. Good work!

Scroller + Music would make this a complete and cool intro ;-)

Looks nice, Canopy. Although it runs really slow. Even using -/+ does not really speed this up.

Will check this on another computer at home.

Speaking of javascript and demos - you might also want to have a look at the codef framework. Whereas TinyC5 is primararily for pixel manipulation - codef offers a range of standard oldschool demo-fx "out of the box".

Welcome PAEz ... members of this forum do use various languages to code effects. C/C++/C#, Java, Javascript, FreeBasic, PureBasic ... it is just a matter of taste I guess. Have fun - and looking forward to see your productions!

Hi Keith,

thanks for your introduction.

I think it is just perfect if you are comfortable using c/c++/c#. Although it might be a bit outdated - did you already
had a look into SDL. I used to read a good tutorial by sol who explains the
basic and even talks about some demoscene effects. Maybe it is worth a look.

In addition, more modern libraries like openFrameworks or Cinder also exists focussing on creative coding.

Keep us informed about your progress.

benny!
