Too bad dude. Still curious though, but it didn't work for me either. d3d10.dll was missing and throws an error after downloading. :(

Hey Praecor, it seems to be really nice, unfortunately my WinXp doesn't support directx 10, it's possible to make a video plz?

Boy, even the screenshot is BIG! :D Looks very promising from the pic, but I got the same probs here. DirectX 10 no es bueno in my case too.
+1 for a video :)

Sorry about the problems, it uses so and texarrays which are 10 only

I have thought about this one, all previous challenges have used the GMT time convention.  the time convention was not stated in the rules, if this had been GMT and the UK is in BST at the moment you have posted this within 55 minutes of the deadline so it will be included in the voting, I will not disqualify it because you didn't provide a screen shot at first.

This was a mistake on my part and I should have specified what time convention was being used in the rules.

I too get a d3d10.dll error.

I've made worse mistakes with comp rules before. Also the difference between server time and the BST/GMT thing is a little confusing. I blame the admin console interface for that one.

Glad to see shockie found a loophole in his own rules, lol.  ;D
Good stuff man.

I think most people will need a video to see this one though as dx 10 (and the system it requires) is a pretty steep request.

I'll stick it on DBF's webspace when I get home tonight so people can see it.

Hey, nice Shocky you allowed it to enter (though actually even its timestamp (inside the app) says it is compiled over midnight, so i'm sceptical why it should be accepted)

benny, it's a hasty piece of shit, so i cant be bothered to videotape such thing (iirc there is just 3 different views in it, lol)

i started coding V2 about it which has some camera movement + more fancy stuff, i might videotape that, i'll upload it here once it is ready (week or so)

Don't download v1, it's not really representable

Praecor, the timestamp you see on a post depends on your settings in your profile.
The actual time that your demo was posted was inside the deadline by 55 minutes as I explained above.

well cool then :)

basically also nice, because that 2048x2048 skin was PITA to make

Usually I tend to produce skins for 512x512 or even 256x256 (smaller objects and get away with that), but buildings and such things that have larger visible pixel areas on the screen, they are better more resolution they can have in the map

Thanks!  That runs great on my W7 x64 box.  It's really rather nice.
