That's fantastic! I don't know anything about working with electronics, and this stuff looks amazing.

Happy birthday. I can't wait to see what your web based demos look like.

thanks ck,

ive worked out a plan going forward. im going too start by building a few basic games. then eventually i would like too remove the windows specific parts of my apophis glsl engine and make it web based. i can then be platform independent so my stuff can run anywhere as long as the hardware meets the requirements.

i honestly feel web development is the way forward going into the future. its the perfect way too unify all platforms and removes lots of specific work for the coder.

Texture mapping isn't natively supported yet, but I've heard about something called webgl - haven't got my head around it yet.

JavaScript has come a long way since everyone was saying Flash will be the next big thing, and I can only see it getting more powerful.

yeah this is exactly the sort of thing i would be doing.

http://davidwalsh.name/webgl-demo

my apophis engine is already there it just has a few little windows pieces too be removed and i should be able too get this sort of thing going. but as a first step i will be using java, it really has come on leaps and bounds, your demo is proof too that!

other than learning the gfx, canvas/context side of things which is new too me. i'm fairly confident with everything else.

I'm really a sucker for these type of prods! Excellent work! Would perhaps have benefitted from some proper 8-bit music :-p

It's amazing what you've managed to pull off for this compo! Really awesome work! :D

Thank you nino, itīs good to be on here! :)
I wish I could've entered something as well, but I haven't been behind the keys as much lately. I will without doubt join the fun again as soon as life settles down. Going over the entries was a nice break from things and a bunch of christmas demos never fail to improve the mood! :)

Thanks for making my day with your entry and a happy new year to you too!

This is really epic Nino, I loved it - has to be just about the geekiest competition entry I've ever seen on DBF.
