[Amiga 30th Anniversary] SkoolsOut
« on: September 29, 2015 »
Here's my entry for the Amiga compo after just changing some of the music in it, hence the larger size this time. I didn't have loads of time but put together some effects I was thinking of using in other intros.  Probably still a few bugs but can't spot them just yet  ;D
Now back to work.....

Love the effects! I especially like the floorcasting, I thought that came out really well. Awesome stuff!

Woah, what a sh*t load of effects! And I really like Turrican being chased by that robot and vice versa. And you can't go wrong by including good old Rick Dangerous! ^^ These tiny bits make it even cooler. Great entry mate!

Awesome bunch of effects! Forgot to press the spacebar after playing around with the f1-8 buttons first time around!  :whack:
The rotating raster scroller defeated me.

Unfortunatly after running for a while windows (7 64 on asus laptop) gives me an error message and it shuts down, happens at different times. Just while I was ready to find the hidden screen and sitting through severe eye burn!  8)

I've had the odd crash and I think it's down to using PBs built in mod replay.  I've never used it before an debugging it pointed to that function when it did crash.  It also made the file size huge in comparison to what i'm used to.  Note to self...stick to using OSME instead. ::)  Good luck with the hidden screen  ;D

Wow! That really was a megademo! Some really lovely touches in there (the Turrican back and forth was especially nice for me). I can't remember the name of the game with the little safari dude, I remember playing it many times but my mind has gone blank :P My favourite parts where the copperbar scroller and the 3D bobs, lovely stuff! It did crash after I pressed space on the 3D bobs part, hopefully that was the end and I didn't miss anything? Fantastic :D

it's retroish, it sounds good, it looks good... win-win for me! soooooooo many effects in a single prod make me cry as I can't code a single rotating cube or even a rotozoomer!!

i figured how to do a rotozoomer just a week or so ago, there not to difficult. I may do a tutorial once i have some spare time.
