me and lil are the biggest spammers on the board, we even have a (tied) award to that effect. Nice to have some more join the cause though!

Hi. I am new in this forum and I thought I would tell something about myself. I am only coding as a hobby (profesionally I work as a surveying engineer at a construction company). I used to code on the Amiga back in the days (not so well perhaps). I have a basic knowledge in a few languages like C/C++ and Java. I am currently using Purebasic for my intro coding, mainly because of the small executable size and the convenience of not having to think about memory management like in C and ASM (too time consuming for me right now).

I am currently working on an intro for the Breakpoint 2007 and I am looking for music and GFX for it, so if you are descent at chip music or pixel GFX please contact me...

Good to have a PB coder on board, Benny uses PB too.  :hi: To the forum and good luck in getting some zix and graphics :)

Might be better if you're looking for stuff to post a specific request.. For instance if you wanted a 16 * 16 font, stick a post in the gfx forum, there's a few people around here that do gfx, you may get lucky.

Evenin' ;)

Got recommended here after my overly gay request for decent programmers on pouet. Well I'll probably make a similar request here but with a bit of code-monkey background thought I'd have a go re-teaching myself and maybe helping out a little. Who knows.

Noticed Shockwave is in Wales/UK too, well I never.

Lol, where's the pink Penis? hehe. I have a gay smiley :mince: but no pink penis.

There's lots of homeless coders here, some of them even make cracktros, shock horror!

Welcome  :hi: I'll be in the arcade all day, the others will all want to say hullo too.

Where in wales are you?

I'm in Llanelli.

I think there's a few Welsh people here.
Btw I thought that your request for coders on Pouet was a wind up?  ;D

have a stepsister down Camarthenshire way, never been though. I'm up north here, Colwyn Bay.

Looking back on it, my pouet request does look like a piss-take but it was supposed to be very serious  ;D. Would love for some of your homeless codies to move in to my place..

Anyway, week off work. Think I'll have a wade around see what's what :)

cheers

You seemed to survive Pouet soo well done. Probably having a browse around will be the best way. If you see any stuff that you like and give the author some feedback is the best way to make coders happy here and perhaps you'll get someone to work on some prods for you on a freelance basis or maybe some group members, who knows? Best wishes with it anyway.

If you decided that you wanted to have a go at learning to code, it doesn't matter what api and language you choose, there will certainly be someone here who can help you with it and the sceners who come here seem to behave differently to when they are on Pouet, I don't know why that is but it's always been a good atmosphere here.

Aye, pouet seems to bring out the worst in people. I've avoided it for as long as I like to remember, only registered so I could thumb up a b-day intro  :D

I've done bits and bobs in most languages. I just quit my job as a web developer last week so now maybe things won't be as PHP orientated and maybe a little bit more C/ASM. It is like trying to learn to ride a bike again though. For me anyway.
