Thanks very much all our zero-posters for introducing yourselves.  While the forum has been a little quiet recently it's great to know there is still an audience, and interesting to know something about who you all are.
Now you're here, stick around, enter something in the Destruction competition, or just continue to enjoy reading the forum.  Either way you are very welcome.

Jim

Note to Shockwave - I really loved your 3D Starfield code for Blitz it set me in the right direction.  It really reminded me of a similar piece on the Amiga that you may have written.  Others have come and gone but yours was the only one with the rotating camera that reminded me of Star Raiders for the Atari 400/800.  I came from a DOS 1.1 environment way back when beginning programming in GWBasic, dBase - Clipper, and Blitz, GFA Basic, and C for the Amiga.  I still own my original Amiga 1000, Amiga 500, and Amiga 3000 PCs.  BTW, I also dabbled a bit with the Atari 400/800, C64, and TI-994/A.  I've been a little self absorbed with raising a family and paying the bills but continue to stop by from time to time.  Thanks Guys for DBF - Sinus Scrollers Rule.  Greg Huntoon

Milda Matilda!
Looks like I haven't posted here since the forum crashed, what was it, some years ago?
I've been in the scene as a musician for years, and I've been in Titan (titandemo.org) for a few years now.

I work as software engineer/developer, writing mostly Java and SQL.

Hi everybody,
every now and then I check in here and look at the competitions and some code tricks.
My C++ programming is quite old-style so I have to catch up somehow...your site is the best code jar in my opinion.
Keep up the good job and please do not delete me ;-)

Hello, i'm Fe-lor, from France, and I'm here to discover demoscene.

I've lost my bookmarks last year, so never participated in Dbf but one day I promise you I will participate seriously to the demoscene & dbf !

Hi Guys, I'm Mithril an old scener from Sweden. And by old I mean really *old* as from the C64 to Amiga days :) I only recently found an interest for coding again. I still have my C128D around. My kids love to play around with it for some odd reason. Yes, that means it still works :)

Welcome to all (wow ... a lot of people),

If you need help on C / C++ ; SDL a bit of OpenGL, don't hesitate to ask (you will get answer from me at least (and from others))
I would advice you SFML instead of SDL ;)
The demoscene will never die, never!

Greetings to Luis, Per, Bluem, Taznormand, Stu, Wopag, Jova, Martin, MadrMan, jar, Kemicza,  Peteloco, PhotonStorm, raistlin77it, Raizor, Neuralnet, DiGiT, Greg Huntoon, Shrike, pikzel, nathanael, tygrys, lovespider, Fe-lor,Mithril, pepe77 and las.

At least there are 28 accounts that are going to remain after the weekend, only another 340 people need to report in!

Seriously though this was one of the most interesting threads to read for a long time today, we really have some cool people hiding in the shadows, lots of interest in the ST and 8 bit systems too.

For the people wondering what the hell is going on with all these great people introducing themselves, I created a group called Zero posters to try and trap the latent spambots and emailed the whole group wo that the real people amongst them can make themselves known.

Thanks for taking it in such a positive way, I hope you all carry on enjoying DBF for a long time to come :)
