Hi everyone! Obviously I'm a newbie. I manage my own business but I like to learn more about coding. I am so glad I found this website as it will be helpful in my career advancement. Well....I think that's all about for now. Peace everyone!

Welcome SteamCoal!  :hi:

The color you chose for the text was a bit hard to read, I had to highlight your text to be able to read it...

Hi I am Darthnoob. I am pretty new to the Programming world. I was referred here by my friend Pixel_Outlaw. this seems like a very cool place to learn some good programming and meet some very cool people. I am a pretty easy going guy. So nobody ever has to worry about offending me. Please be brutally honest with me on anything I post.

Hi everybody! Im glad to see yabasic still alive!
I've join this site to see other people's ideas and codes and share some of my own.

I like coding in yabasic so i'll keep an eye in yabasic's forum and maybe post some codes later.

I would like to thanks jim for the emulator and for the welcome cos' im new n a little bit lost here, and all the people who posted yabasic's codes.

I think is great to  find other people interested on coding yabasic, this is my hobby for years, and now thanks to the emulator can do something more than coding alone in my playstation where nobody can try my games.. you now what i mean.. yabasic ps2 is isolated from the world.. you can code whatever you want but there's no way to make an ".exe" file and share it.. so at least whith the emulator we can share the codes an running on it.. thats great!

Something about me:
I'm from Spain... my english is not very good.. but good enough to understand you (hope)

well thats it, I've joined! see you around here.. remember that i love yabasic so anybody to talk about it, i'll be pleased

see ya!

Welcome to Dbf, I will really look forward to seeing what you make with the emulator.. yabasic is a cool and quirky language and is quite capable of good things in the right hands.

Yay, I'm real and not a bot...Just wanted to get some APIs and write some small scale diversionary stuff. I used to write stuff a long time ago in 6502(c64), 65816(SNES, 68000-68020(Amiga500,1200). I wrote for a couple groups that never made it big or anything but mostly I just liked writing code. Also know C, C++, Java. Never got into web programming. Closest thing to that was Python.

Are there basic APIs to get past having to deal with the overhead of Windows?

What tools do you guys use?

Hi!

Thanks to everybody for the welcome!

Im sure this is a good place to be!
Nice people! :D

The emulator is great! What can I do with it?
Well i dont now yet..
Actually Im working on digitalizing pictures for yabasic and it runs really good!

Another good thing from the emu is the speed, obviously! I've exported my old demos and games maded for playstation and in the most cases need to put a 'pause' in the main loop cos' it runs much faster than the ps2 hahaha:P

All my old codes dosn't work very well in the emu because of this difference on speeds and some other questions so i think i'm gonna start coding again in yabasic this time for the emulator! :D

By the way I've downloaded all demos and games for yabasic you made.. that was a good time enjoing. Thank you all!

Hi l2icks0r, welcome to DBF.

You'll find that nearly everyone here uses different tools to make thier programs.  There are plenty of C/C++/Java coders here.
