Hello everyone,

I coded some 68000 assembler back in the Amiga days, nothing special.
Now it's time to learn some coding again.

Cheers!

Hi everyone!

I'm from France and I've started to code on the good old Amiga in the late ... 80's fieww!!! :o
First, I would like to thank DBF: I cant count hours past to scan the forums learning from all great active members !!
Now, I code in c + + and uses OpenGL to make some small intros but nothing presentable  ;D
I'm just starting to learn about glsl shaders too.
The mood is extremely convivial here and that's what i call the real spirit of the Demoscene : Sense of sharing.

Cheers !!

Been fan of demoscene since 90s (Amigaaaaa!!!!!11). Never finished any prod and figuring out if someday I'll manage to do that. I mainly do music, but love coding too and registered here to increase my knowledge.

I'm Aapo from Finland, but because Finnish is a horrible mess for non-Finns to pronounce, I go by shinmai pretty much everywhere (plus, it basically means 'newbie' in Japanese, which is my outlook on life, there's always something to learn, someone is always lightyears ahead, forever a newbie :P).
I got my first computer, an Atari 520 STF, when I was three years old and ever since seeing the first few sine scrollers in floppy menus I've been enamored with all things demoscene. I've been programmin in one form or another my whole life, and after digging out an old Atari ST from the storage while cleaning, sparked my interest to try and hack together some silly intros and other stuff like that.
I've been lurking on these forums for ages and finally decided to register an account today.

I currently mostly code in Java (with OpenGL, I'm trying to develop games with a few friends) but for my 'demoscenish' experiments it's Devpac assembler and Turbo C (and, if I can find the diskette, maybe GFA Basic :D) on the Atari ST and Three.js+GLSL on the PC :)

Hi all, I'm weezer from Sweden! On this forum I actually decided to re-use my old handle that I had back in the days when I was a totally unknown and insignificant player in the Amiga demo scene. For a couple of years in the mid 90's I was part of a small Swedish demo group called Factor (FTR), and was a musician by trade. Still producing music as a hobby, but of course with more modern tools then ProTracker. :)

These days I've become more interested in revisiting and keeping an eye on the demo scene in general, and would also like to venture into the world of programming. I will probably do some 68000 assembly stuff just for fun and to get into the retro groove, but the main goal is to learn a more modern programming language, probably C#.

Cheers!

Hi all, i started off with an acorn electron when i was 4 (1982 approx) and then on to the commodore 64 a few years later and then got an amiga and joined the piracy scene as a modem trader for Dual Crew  - Shining (DCS) and traded on many top USA bbs sites such as Pirates Haven, The Ghetto, USS Enterprise , Edge of the World, Fast Trax , Danse Macabre to name a few. After 1993 i quit the scene for several years and eventually purchased a PC
and have been in numerous groups such as Hoodlum & Deviance and eventually quit the trading scene to concentrate on programming. Over the last few months i have been concentrating on C++ DirectX but have some experience with Visual Basic .NET C# and a little Delphi but right now am involved in increasing my C++ skills. Am using Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate and compiling many examples from others and learning from there source code.
*EDIT* Forgot to mention i`m from the UK!

Cheers, ikari.  :)
