Fractal Flower Screensaver
« on: May 13, 2006 »
Here's a simple screensaver. Extract it from the ZIP, right-click it and click "Install". It will play once, then set your timer and stuff, and hit apply. It may play again, exit it.

Sorry about the ESC key exit, I used tinyptc so GetMouse doesn't work and I'm not experienced enough with the windows API to fix it.

Hope it looks nice.

Also there's an EXE version if you don't want it as a screensaver.

Created in freebasic using WU pixels for all lines and 800x600 resolution. Uncompressed.

Have fun.

Cool stuff Thygrion! Good to see you made it to the new board. If only Tetra could make it along as well we'd all be together again.

Glad you guys like it!

I plan to use it with my polygon engine eventually (if you noticed this is 3D).

I'll probably also release the code if you guys wish.

The anti-aliasing makes all the difference doesn't it?

It looks really smart, allthough I dont fully understand what Fractal means; as I always thought of them as Mandelbrots.

@MR T: Code'll be cool; as it looks awesome.

Cheers and all the very best,
Clyde.

That's really all that anti-aliased lines are- WU pixels ;).

Clyde, fractal simply means that it's based on mathematical equations.
