Waaaaaaaaaaaaay too fast, it takes about 1s to get to the end of the scroll!  Any chance you could do one with some time clamping in?  :D

Definately too fast ... but it looks like it seems to be a very cool fx.

I've already added a delta time function, the problem is that I make mistake with win api "getmessage" and "peekmessage" again  :-\ , changed to "peekmessage" method, should work fine now...  (i hope  :whack: )

Definately too fast ... but it looks like it seems to be a very cool fx.

@Benny!, @Jim: Can you test it again, please  ???

Thanks all for your comments!

@rbraz:

Tested new version - but unfortunately no visible changes. Still way too fast.
Maybe we can help you if you post parts of the source.

Still way too fast on my system mate. And I mean WAY. It's like reading lettering on a motorbike going at 100 mph!
I love semi-colons way too much ^^;

Hey, if you're able to code it in the first place, getting it slower shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Redownloaded.  On the PC it had problems on yesterday it's still lighting fast.  At home, though, it's fine.  ???

It's a good effect at the right speed :D

New version is better (I guess with the QueryPerformanceFrequency) but it's still far too fast, way faster than at home.

<edit>One possibility is that the frequency is vastly different on different PCs.  Sometimes that's true on multicore/HT P4s.  Check to see if your calculation is overflowing or having precision problems.  If in doubt, try casting to 'double'.

It very cool effect from what I can make out :D (

it rand at 290fps here,  but my gfx settings forced vsync off, I put it on, and it ran at 60fps, but its still scrolling too fast to make out the text :'(

Rbraz,

both versions work fine here (even though the cube test program goes nuts). I think you should get two votes cos you have two scrollers on the screen at once :-)

Nice twisty effect.
