Unreal amounts of money..
« on: March 24, 2007 »
Got "Who wants to be a millionaire" on in the background here. (mel is upstairs trying to win back her Orca slap trophy :P)

Anyway this guy just won 8 grand, he quit at 8 grand on a question I knew the answer to, sure it's all easy if you know the answers but I usually get to 64 grand.

£64,000 would make such a big difference to our home life. actually 64 grand would do the trick perfectly.

I would put £10,000 in trust for my soon to be born son, I would bank £30,000 which would serve as a wage for me for 2 years while I went back to college to get a new qualification so I could have a career in programming, 20 grand would go on paying off the car loan and a chunk of the mortgage and the rest would buy us a damn good cruise.

Is this why we watch stuff like who wants to be a millionaire?

What would you do with the cash?

 :goodpost:

- Pay the bills.
- Buy a new machine (or 2 ;) )
- Buy a new house for my family.
- Buy new band equipment.
- Put the remainder in the bank for college.

I probably wouldnt get too far on the show they ask too many soap opera questions which would cut into my bonus things but the first thing I would do is take a long holiday in some sunny part of the world

64.000 - that would be a perfect start to form a small independent business and to
be self employed.

A million? Pay for a house, 2m HD tv (biggest comercial screen £50,000), several thousand pound audio system, all the games consoles, a computer that's not shit,  and I'd still have enough for booze for the rest of my life.  :P

@ Rain_Storm... *nice sunny bit of the world* Australia mate haha!

*Since it's £64,000... that's like - god knows how much more here! I would probably pay my uni fairs, get a nice car... umm, buy huge amounts of cds... and put the rest in the bank! haha, score!

Surprising how quick 64 grand could go if you weren't careful with it! :)
I think that having more money would make me more mean. People who I know can't believe what a pain in the arse I am when I am food shopping for instance.. I'm better these days but when I lived in the flat, I could buy 3 weeks worth of food shopping for £35. Nowadays I'm not so skint.. I could really use a nice lump sum now though. It would set everything up just right.

Having more money would make me more liable to spend it on party shit. Seeing as every week I end up round somebodies house, it's good ettiquet to bring food/booze* so they'll let me in and possibly spend the night. I'm already down about £10-£15 some weeks because of this.

But it's so worth it!

With that amount of money, I'd probably buy myself a big house in the country. And give alot to my Mum & family. And the rest I'd put aside in a high earning bank account.
