TTD test exe
« on: May 22, 2006 »
Hi everybody.

Since alot of you seem to be messing about with FB and TinyPTC I thought I would have a crack at using TinyPTC in C/C++ which I had tried before but didnt get to far due to lack of knowledge at the time. Now this isnt anything super cool, it's just my attempt to get it working in VC++.Net and after some tracking down in the ptc source I was able to remove the mmx asm file causing the headache, while have that bit of extra optimization would have been nice it seems pretty fast anyway so I have created a 640x480 fullscreen TV static exe based of the example code to see if it works for other people :)

So if you dont mind downloading a massive 10K  :D then please try it out for me.

Cheers
Jon

Works fine here.
Did notice more pixels generated in the first few rows of the top left of the screen

No mater how hard I tried I couldn't tune it in so I guess it works well here :)

Stonemonkey, it may be a cookie problem, if you try logging out and clearing your cookies then logging back in again it should download for you. I can't see anything in the error log.

Cool, it seems it works apart from Stonemonkey's download problem. Now I will have to start writing some drawing functions for stuff since everything has to be draw per pixel  :)

Might do another small test first just to make sure I can get my coding style to work with TinyPTC before I delve into line drawing and more complex stuff. Had a quick go at converting an old GDI based plotball but for some reason the code refused to compile so I need to find out why before I write anything more complex.

That's wierd, it's like the forum is deciding that you are logged out.
I'll look into it.

Check your profile and see how long you've told the site to log you in for. that might solve it.

Good to See Tin Dragons back in action :D

It was his login cookie Rbraz, the login time had been set to 60 mins so the cookie expired.
If the forum tells you you don't have permission to download then it's probably because you're not logged in.
I did that to prevent guests leaching bandwidth.

I'd only just logged on when it wouldn't let me d/l, must be some little bug somewhere. Anyway if it happens to anyone again you'll know what to suggest.
