Working with VS2005 and VS2008?

atm i am using "VS2008" and installed "DX9 SDK Nov2008".... Is it possible to install and run "VS2005" and "VS2008" independent on one system and using the DX9 SDK? Or will i get in trouble when installing both version on one system? Because i would like to test compiled output between both versions. So i ask you, before uninstalling VS2008 or getting in trouble when running both versions. thx

You can install them side by side and have both point at one copy of the DirectX SDK and/or one copy of the Platform SDK.
I have that at home.
