Fun with red/cyan "3d" glasses?
« on: January 14, 2010 »
I'm just wondering if anyone has attempted to make a cool game or demo using the old red/cyan or purple/green glasses. The technology (if you want to call it that) has been around for some time and works on computer screens too. I guess you just use two different cameras and interlace the pictures together with a color filter on each picture.

Never tried it myself - but I know that a lot of groups tried it already.

For example:

Farbrausch - Dopplerdefekt
[ mycroBLOG - POUET :: whatever keeps us longing - for another breath of air - is getting rare ]

Thanks benny! That is the kind of stuff I'm looking for. I know this stuff peaked in the 80's and 90's but I never got to play with the technology from a creation perspective.

Farbrausch did another one; never knew of DopplerDefekt which looks miles better.

I tried this with an adapted version of my Flash wireframe, but I couldn't find a good pair of sweet wrappers.
