What programs do schools use to write on interactive white boards?

It depends on the manufacturer of the interactive white board.

At the school I currently work for, we have SMART Boards and Promethian Activ Boards.

The SMART Boards use a program called SMART Notepad.

Promethian Activ Boards use another program called Activ Studio.

There may be other brands of interactive whiteboards, but these are the two I'm most familiar with.

Good idea, but the IR pen looks a bit fiddly to assemble.
