That's a nasty one!

I think I've traced it though, do you want to check to see if it's fixed?

Good!

It only affected moderators by the look of it.

The problem wasn't in load.php, the mod_cache was getting ass fucked because SMF changed the order of fields in the cache for RC5, my custom front page was looking for the permissions in the wrong order.

Anyway I've swapped them around now.. There's bound to be lots of fiddly shit like this for a few days..

Sorry!

take a look @ this screenshot... are you aware of this? or it is supposed to work that way?

Reloading the page I noticed that in the news "pane" are displayed more lines that disappears in a blink of an eye...

Yeah, I'd spotted that..

I was thinking of turning off the news fader to be honest as if I stick the shout box on this page too, it will have to squash the forum a bit and make it a bit messy.

Awesome, I like the new style!

Two minor suggestions:

- The individual posts seem a bit less separated at first sight, maybe a border or a slightly larger space solves it? I noticed just now while typing there's a nice subtle black border on the post page around the post bg. I think it might work nice in the thread as well to aid visual separation.

- The border color of the input fields in the post page are gray on hovering and blue by default and active. Maybe swap the default and hover color, so they are gray by default and blue when active and hovering. So the field with the focus is highlighted.

Should be two easy css tweaks if you agree with them.

Otherwise good stuff, really like it! Looking forward to the new trophy style sigs!

 :rockon:

[EDIT] I just noticed a couple of smiley's got replaced with slicker versions. I like the old flat smiley's better actually. Especially the old grin smiley was my favorite.

I wouldn't said that with better words! If it isn't too much hassle it would look much more intuitive

Great job Nick!  Seems like it went pretty smoothly.

The new theme is a bit more scrappy on my Android than the old one, but then I'm mostly only using that to delete spammers as soon as they come on, so it doesn't matter much.  The competition sig thing will clear some of that up.  Question for another day:  Are there any smf mobile themes?

I tried it on my phone too and I found that this theme on my android tends to chop off pictures, it's not great on mobile really.
There are some lightweight skins out there for mobiles, if there's one you like for RC5 it's easy to upload it if you like.

I've added a very subtle black border around the post on Top, Right and Bottom and I think it does what you wanted?

That's strange because the code is;

Code: [Select]
$ip=$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'];
echo '<h3 class="bottomstats">PAGE VIEWS: '.$downs.' &nbsp;&nbsp;Your I.P Address: '.$ip.'</h3>';

So it should be right!

No, I meant the entire light gray post area around each post (with the rounded corners), it encompasses the sidepic and sigs et all. If you click reply to go to the post/type message page, you can see the border that I mean. There's a nice subtle black border around the entire lighter gray area which includes the smiley's and input fields.

The text within the post area doesn't really need extra outlines imo, it loses a bit of the clean feel and the various links that appear above and beneath the text also help to visually separate it.

I see what you mean.

That's going to be fiddly to change - it's something I will get around to doing later on I think.

look at the code you posted
   echo '<h3 class="bottomstats">PAGE VIEWS: '.$downs.' &nbsp;&nbsp;Your I.P Address: '.$ip.'</h3>';

shouldn't it is something like:
   echo '<h3 class="bottomstats">PAGE VIEWS: '.$downs.' &nbsp;&nbsp;Your I.P. Address: '.$ip.'</h3>';

or

   echo '<h3 class="bottomstats">PAGE VIEWS: '.$downs.' &nbsp;&nbsp;Your IP Address: '.$ip.'</h3>';

;)
