Hiya,

since 1993 I've always wanted to remix this crazy Sidmon Tune from an Amiga Cracktro composed by Romeo Knight. I've mailed Romeo (Eike) to make sure it's really a tune from him, because he didn't mention it on his personal website. He acknowledged and gave me the 'Go' to remake his tune.

So here it is .. I'll guess I'll upload it to amigaremix.com soon~~. I wished I could upload it on scenemusic.net (nectarine) but it seems you have to be a demo musician, which I'm technically not ... yet.~~ Update: It's online now

I'm curious about your opinions and I'm also glad because this is my debut to show something off here on the forums

PS: the ID3 tag says the remake is done by neriakX, that's also me .. it's my handle for the scene. I should have registered here with that one, but I was used to dizphunkt , which is my real artist name ...

I just listened to that tune for the last 2 hours in an endless loop. It is fantastic. Extremely cool. One of the best crack-tro tune remakes I have listened to in the last years. Simply awesome

dizphunkt, have you done any tunes with the 4klang (by Alcatraz) or v2 (by kb/farbrausch) soft synths? I would love to use a tune by you in a demo or intro at some point

Had to switch to my production headphones to give it a proper listen

Awesome remix; really captured the oldschool feel while modernizing it a bit; comes together really nicely. I would've preferred a bit more sidechain but that's just hipster me talking

EDIT: Forgot to mention I REALLY dig the crunchy (bitcrush?) stuff you did on the lead in the beginning and end

Hey Raizor, I already have the farbrausch VST and tried it out. I don't know the 4klang Sofftsynth, but I'll give it a shot. I'd really love to work with you guys! Man, so many projects .. coming straight out of nowhere hehe. I'm excited like a little child, teehee.

Hrhr, the sidechain .. yes. I tried it and it didn't work that well ... technically yes, but it somehow fucked the style

This wasn't meant to be a house track, that's why it sounds more like an Italo Disco Tune

But I can see and understand your point.

thanks mate. yeah you're right .. I've got 4 automations running at the intro and outro: Cubase Bitcrusher, Sugarbytes WoW Filter, a Big hall and Delay.
