It made me really sad, to see this forum seems to be "death". What happens to Shockwave and how is doing the admin part of this site?
Btw, in the past i had nicks email- and private post adress. sadly i lost them. Is someone still in contact with him, or has any contact infos for me?
Thanks for PM.

Hey va!n ... cool to see that you are still online here. I am rarely visiting this board unfortunately nowadays - since normal life took over.

Nevertheless, I am connected to Shockwave via Facebook - not actively chatting with him - but according to his posts - we is fine. He is posting mountain biking and fishing photos from time to time.

Guess he is not visiting this board regulary anymore.

Hey benny,
thanks for your reply and nice to see you here. okay, i understand about normal life.
Nice to hear, you are connected to Shockwave via facebook and according to his posts, he is hopefully fine.

seeing what happens to this forum and its great community (seems to be "death") makes me really sad.
i would like to know if there is a way to backup all this postings (forum), before it may be offline one day.

can you tell something, what happens to this forum and its great old community, that this place seems to be death?

However, i am really glad to hear from you and i hope you are still fine (even if normal life took over).
best regards
thorsten

How about making new friends?
There are some great new people here, take a look at their projects and just start a chatting!

Hey va!n, just in case you drop by and look at this again I am indeed fine - Things have just changed a lot in my life nowadays... Coding used to be just a hobby to me but for more than a decade now it's been my day job and I'm just not inclined to code much after spending the whole day doing it at work.

Not only that but I have children and as Benny said, I am into mountain bike racing too so things are busy at home.

I have no plans to take DBF offline and I intend to renew the site again this year when it becomes due soon.

When this forum was launched, message boards were still quite popular but nowadays there are so many different social media platforms that people seem to use other platforms to keep in touch.

It might not have many new posts but there's a lot of information here and it's worth keeping online.

I hope that everything is good with you and thanks for asking about me.
