Really nice work Nino. :)
I liked the Font too , it is very small but good.
-
Not bad at all :) Nice work.
-
good classic intro
if you want a font, ask :
this one was in a custom format in fastram (if you have fastram - cpu writer)
x2 format with good colors. 59 characters + the mask to draw the font
-
thanks bbear!! ill update my entry witht the proper one.
cheers to every one and the admis for a great comp!
-
Really cool nino ;D
-
Great job dude :clap:
-
Nino, if you are going to update the font, you should update the colours and change the bouncing of the glenze too, I will get the colour values out of the original if you like?
-
That would be cool shockwave i wish i could rip this stuff myself but its cool that youguys are so helpfull.
yeah the colors and bounce arent quite spot on ehh ill see what i can do!
-
At the moment the bounce doesn't look much like the original at all, it seems to be sineing, should be a very simple fix though :)
I took these colours from the original on the Amiga;
Chessboard Colours;
(1) r = 119 g = 119 b = 119
(2) r = 238 g=238 b =238
(font is in 2 bitplanes (4 colours));
(1) r=221 g=221 b=221
(2) r=136 g=136 b=136
(3)r=68 g=68 b=68
Glenze Colours;
(1) r = 221 g = 187 b = 204
(2) r=170 g = 119 b = 153
(3) r=102 g=34 b=68
(4) r=0 g=0 b=0
Hope they help!
-
cool i thought only two colors were yoused for the glenze polys though? ohh well im sure ill get a bit more authentisity with these cheers mate!
-
font and colors updated!
-
Ah that's better :D The glenze looks like it's bouncing off the screen as opposed to the chessboard though.
Anyway, it's a really nice conversion so congratulations for the really great remake! :clap: Having the right font and colours makes all the difference.
-
that is good.....the music is great ;D
:cheers:
-
Some of the pitch bends in the music seem to have suffered a bit from the mod->xm conversion. At least, it sounds just slightly different from the flash demo. Wonder which is more truthful to the original?!
Nino are you planning to add the text fading in (it kind of stipples on the original) instead of appearing immediately as a solid character?
Anyway, minor nitpciks in what is a very nice conversion. Somehow I knew you'd pick that one when I saw it...don't know how though!

really jim, wow youve known me to long :P
i was gonna make the text stipple the stipple is even in the font set but ive started a new project so dont really have the time to do much more on this anyway im gonna release my project folder to the forum once the comp is over with so maybe someone else can have a tinker with it ;).
btw well spotted you really do have an eye for detail i was hoping no one would pick up on that ;D
-
Would be a very nice gesture to release that after the comp Nino :) Thanks!
