I guess this is real obvious but when lacking in inspiration for visuals you might try using

http://images.google.com/

try for example
http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&gbv=2&q=spheres&btnG=Search+Images
http://images.google.com/images?gbv=2&svnum=10&hl=en&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=ambient+occlusion&spell=1
http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&gbv=2&q=3d+fractal&btnG=Search+Images
http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&gbv=2&q=3d+tunnel&btnG=Search+Images

and so on...

http://gorgeous-wallpaper.com/WALLPAPER/CGI/GIGA_PIXEL_/PHOTOSHOP_126.jpg
this turned up with a search for cgi and wallpaper.

Anyway works for me.
