Title: Flight
Post by: Clanky on June 12, 2007
Just made a start on a new demo game - hopefully be able to make it full one day.

(Sorry for stating so many projects and not finishing them!!!)

I saw a picture on the internet of a flying game with scrolling buildings and enemies! Man, that was inspiring! So I set out on replicating the visuals.
I changed the aeroplane - couldnt get the one proper! I made mountains and a nice background of ground and sky.
You can move the ship (inverted), and I think taht the coding is done very neatly!!!
I'm not sure what you guys will say of the player.x, player.y, player.score ect. I think it looks neat - but it may not be a good idea yeah? Hoepefully it's ok - I kinda like it (not sure why!?)

If any one wants to improve on this basic setup, I'll be pleased.
I'm going to try and code a nice game out of it, but I'm sure - like always - I am going to need help.

(Just need to beat this new guy at Chain Reaction! Damn... so close... taking for ever! Sorry Jim lol!)

Hope you enjoy!

Hey, those graphics are pretty cool! This will be a difficult one to convert, good luck!

Neat looking gfx I think that firefox was like the very first console 3D game so the graphics are minimalist but it may still be a difficulrt conversion worth a shot I think

Nice work so far clanky, if you want to run this on the ps2 you really have to watch the triangle count though (bad sony).
