This is going to end up as my entry to the banana comp, I am having a little bit of difficulty knowing how much texture detail to useso I made a quick example using quite a lot.
I want the texture in the demo to be pixelated so don't worry about that, all I need to know are basic system information and whether it ran with any glitches / real slow / smooth etc..
Just so I can decide how much detail to have.
Thanks :)

celron d 2.6 ghz 1gb ddr2 ram 256mb radeon x1550 looks really cool and runs very smooth!
-
Get the odd dropped frame here, but that might just be my system. Otherwise fast. P4 3GHz, X1600.

Run smoothly here
P4 2.8Ghz, GeForce 6600GT
-
It looks so smooth and shiny on my P4 2.4GHz 512MB Ram workstation.
-
works without probs here.... ;)
-
works fine for me as well... amd x2 dual 5000 ...
-
Runs very smooth on :
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+
- 2.21 Ghz ( 2 Gig RAM )
- Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT
Looks very cool ... looking forward to see your final entry, Shocky !!!

It keeps crashing my C64.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
-
Thank you for your tests folks :) Don't expect anything too flash from me.
CK, I'll look into that C64 bug!
-
Runs smoothly here, no glitches!
It's only missing a banana!! :updance:

Banana's are coming soon :)
Warning, the attached exe contains adult material!
Work continues, I hope to have something done by Sunday for the comp :D
-
both work fine here, amd 1,9 ghz, radeon 9800
-
@va!n: jeez these are friendly grounds, first board ever where I don't get asked to explain my handle! :D
Fact: 90 just doesn't have the same allure.
@Shockwave: stylish hardcore bananas! Running smoothly here too.

2nd version w/bananas(?) ran kinda slow on my machine. If i hadn't known that they were supposed to be bananas I wouldnt have known cause the pic is too blocky cause of scaling.
-
What system specs please bill? (processor speed mainly).
Unfortunately the banana emoticon is 35 * 33 and scaled up and texture mapped on an 800 X 600 screen the blockyness is unavoidable unless the bananas were designed as vectors.
Perhaps I'll draw them smaller on the texture and have a few more of them instead. :)

athlon 1.2 - dont know maybe the rotation of the object is supposed to be slow - no frame counter so i have no clue as to what is normal, fast or slow.
-
I was interested in seeing if it dropped frames, but it was probably pretty slow on a 1.2ghz anyway... I'll reduce the texture resolution a bit anyway which should help a bit.
-
Possibly a cacheing problem on the Athlon, especially when drawn rotated at 90 degrees. How big is/was that texture Shockwave?
Jim

Erm, I am not sure. I think it was about 64 * 64
-
Tiny then! That's not it!

Shockie it runs really smoothly here, but the banana looks fucked ... :-)

Yep, the banana is a bit fucked :)
