Title: format of the email-address
Post by: benny! on July 04, 2007
Hi,

I wonder if there are any (in)official rule - or if not - what you think about is the best
way to format the email addresses of your customers in your company.

[Testperson]

Firstname: Bob
Lastname: Smith

Possible ways are :

#1 bobsmith[at]domain.com

#2 b.smith[at]domain.com

#3 b.s.[at]domain.com

#4 bs[at]domain.com

#5 bob[at]domain.com

#6 bob_smith[at]domain.com

Any ideas / thoughts about this ??  ::)

Personally, I would tend to #1 because I think it gives business communicatiosn a more
personal touch if you add your firstname.

I agree with you Benny, also I think bob.smith@domain.com  is good too.

Our place is smithb@domain.com.  Not sure I like it.  Sometimes the surname first is best to sort by.  I like the idea of #1.

Thanks for your opinions mates.

Glad we agree on the email-format so far.
