Lately I feel like watching computer culture movies.
So far I've seen Tron and Hackers. Any other ones that I might like?

Wargames

Antitrust
There's a brilliantly accurate parody of Microsoft in this film :)
It's not a comedy though.
-
Matrix :-), no seriously, Office Space (brilliant). Its more "cubicle" culture than computer culture but you wont regret watching it. Also, Jennifer Aniston, so you know, princess Leia fantasies.
-
"The Net"

I really start to like this topic.
WarGames

Which movie I prefer instead of the Matrix is
The 13th Floor
Watch trailer (http://german.imdb.com/title/tt0139809/trailers-screenplay-E10920-314)
Not as action packed as the matrix with more focus on the idea behind it !!!

Makes you want to "hack the Gibson" eh benny! ? ;)

A movie about Kevin Mitnick.
(Personally I think this movie is a bit boring - but well ...)

Hackers is amazing. The actual 'hacking' is a pile of shit, but it's such a fun movie, I can't help but love it.

The actual 'hacking' is a pile of shit.
You mean people don't usually hack government computers in transparent twirling phone booths? There is no physical GUI that consists of transparent depictions of text in a virtual city? You can't make the school sprinklers in the ceiling come on?
-
Nope, but you can change your name to "zero cool" and Angelina Jolie looks like a lesbo in that movie!
LOL
-
One cracker that is based around the abuse and misuse of computers is Weird Science.
I watched it the other day. :)

How about Lawnmower Man?
-
Or the TV series The Whiz Kids with Matthew Laborteaux?

Yeah ... wasn't it the series with the cool robot they had. Cool ...
-
Oh man its got to be Weird Science for me me all time fav film.. ;D
Kelly LeBrock what a babe :diablo:
-
Top 3 for me:
1: The Matrix.
2: War Games.
3: Lawnmover Man.
Probably you'll enjoy Lawnmower man a lot considering that you liked Tron.
Yes I know all three have been suggested above, just consider this my own little endorsement :)
-
The idea behind lawnmower man was fantastic! Good film, best not to mention lawnmower man 2 - which is really really shite!!!
Drew

'Urge to kill'
....or maybe that one's best not mentioned either.
-
Anything to do with violence in computer games?
I haven't seen that one.
-
Heh, not quite.
from the imdb:
'A wealthy music producer (Peter Gordeno) lives in a hi-tech apartment which is run by a computer system called S.E.X.Y. However the computer develops human feelings and quickly becomes jealous of the would be female singers that hang around its owner. Soon the computer is killing the girls off by scalding in the shower, death by electric toothbrush while another unfortunate girl gets trapped in a sun bed which causes her breasts to explode.'
A.K.A. Attack of the Killer Computer
-
Sounds as cheesy as the plot for Flesh Gordon. ;D
Hmm, cheese!
In Robocop 2, after they have programmed in his new set of directives, you can see some hex-code when the camera cuts to his viewpoint. Apparently there's something encoded in there.
-
That sounds really good actually Stonemonkey.
Exploding breasts.
