Arcade Karma Challenge!
It's been a long time since we had an arcade challenge and now that Christmas is nearly here it's the time of year when we have a little bit too much to eat and drink and can't be bothered to do any programming!
Sooo.
I've had a think about this and the challenge will run until 31st January, our quiet month.
The challenge will be to get the most trophies.
The prizes will be;
1st : 15 Karma. + GFX SIG!
2nd : 10 Karma. + GFX SIG!
3rd : 5 Karma. + GFX SIG!
The scores are all reset now so good luck!
-
+ GFX Sig ... cool :kewl:
-
nice one :D
-
The sigs are drawn and ready for the winners!
Who will wear them in the end? :)
-
I hope to be wearing one of those sigs myself!
-
Wow. They are very good looking !!!
-
The challenge will remain open until I come home from work tomorrow :)
-
why are they 2007? Isn't it 2008 now?
-
Well spotted Paul :P
Ok, well I will have to alter the signature banners before they are awarded, but the arcade challenge is now closed!
As second place is tied, these are the results;
1st Shockwave 21
2nd Buckethead 7
2nd Singer 7
3rd CoDeMaN 4
Karma will be awarded later accordingly...
However, it seems incestuous for me to award myself karma so I am going to browse the forum and award 5 karma each to the authors of the three most interesting recent posts during the last week.
As it's my karma that I am giving away I'll decide which posts either helped the most or interested me the most.
Congratulations to the winners!
Arcade scores will be archived and reset tomorrow.
This will be the last arcade karma challenge for a while, there will be another one along before the end of the year though.

Congratulations guys. It looks like Shockys after claiming the title of king of the arcade yet again.
-
It was tough to win it this time. Really tough. :)
Anyway, the sigs and karma have been dished out and the recipients of the Karma I won are;
Rain Storm.
For creating this topic about floorcasting because I think it looks so damned good;

Mind.
For his input into this question as I know his answer solved the question! Also for his really interesting and thoughtful biography about the evolution of his texture making utility which was one of the most fascinating project histories I have read for a long time.

Pixel Outlaw.
For the general question about which algorithm was a personal landmark to impliment, a really great general discussion topic that seemed to take quite a few of us back in time to past projects that had fascinated us!

I hope we'll finish the 12 levels of Manic Miner ! I'm fascinated by this strange game but I don't get how to do with the Pacman screen. ;\
