Title: What stupid lack of features can you think of in modern programs?

Recently, I've become aware than many programes lack common sense features. The most prominent are virus scanning programs that lack a progress bar. I don't really care to know how many files have been scanned if I have no idea how many files I have left to go or how much progress has been made. Does anybody have any other gripes about programms lacking common sense features?

Anything that has an installer. Software has to be really important before I modify my registry to run it. Installers are a pain in the neck.
