Another question. Is there a win prog that will rip samples from mod and save them as wav or mp3's ?

If you have the original ProTracker-SoundModule, you can simple load it into the Windows Tracker like "MadTracker" listen to the sample(s) and export as *wav for example... Its really very easy as long as you have the mod...  If you wannt rip off the MOD from the original you should usw WinUAE and the ROM "Action Replay III". good luck.  (if you have pany probs or need help for converting i will help you!)

If you have the mod files on your PC I recommend you to convert them with WinAMP. Why WinAMP? It's the best player that supports a lot of file's and its free. If it can't open a module, then you'll have to look for a plug-in, they are free.

1. Open up your favorite module in WinAMP.
2. Press CONTROL + P
3. Look at PLUG-INS > OUTPUT
4. You will get a list of the output plug-ins. Double click on Nullsoft Disk Writer and use your settings.
5. When you are done click on OK and close the Winamp Perferences dialog.
6. If you have the song in your playlist just hit the play button and it will convert it to .WAV file. The good thing about this way of converting is it will convert the loop too!
7. If you think the track is long enough then click on the STOP button.
8. We want to switch back to the playmode so we'll have to use the plug-in that plays the file's. So CONTROL+P again and select the Nullsoft DirectSound Output plug-in and close the dialog.

You'll have to convert the .WAV file to .MP3 because .WAV files can be very big compared to .MP3 files. You might use your favorite converter to convert the .WAV file but you can do it with WinAMP too. Everything can be done as the same steps I mentioned. All you need are the .MP3 output plug-ins you get download them from here:
