Title: Mini Air cannon!

Just finished my first mini air cannon,

About 9 bucks in parts. I went to Ace Hardware for their wonderful and helpful people!

Shot a marble against a wall complete destruction of the marble-80 psi

The model I designed was very simple. You just need two lengths of pipe separated by a ball valve. The tank end has a bicycle tire valve that sticks through a capped end piece.

The tank is filled via the valve stem then the ball valve is opened as quickly as possible releasing the compressed air into the barrel. I just need to find the max psi for a schedule 80 piece of PVC.

You'd probably even need a firearms certificate for it in the UK.

That is to say if it is classified as a pistol, and it has a muzzle energy of over 6 ftlbs it would be illegal to own it.

If it is a rifle then the legal limit for air rifles is 12 ftlbs muzzle energy.
You must be close to that if you can totally disintegrate a marble already :)

You shattered a marble?
I once tried breaking a marble, using a slingshot, at steel plate.
And all I did was dent the plate. A few times.

It would cost you about 10 usd in plumbing parts.  :whisper:
