Title: [WinVista] No sound in battery mode
Post by: benny! on July 07, 2008
Hi,

I have a strange problem lately. Although I didnt change anything
(at least not on purpose) - I have no sound anymore on my laptop
(Sony VAIO - Win Vista) when starting on battery mode.

Can anybody give me any advice ? I hear the login sound of windows -
but after the OS has finish loading - there is no tune anymore :-(

Already checked the battery/energy settings - but cannot see any
related settings there ?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I had a similar problem - turned out an update had knackered the sound . . . rolled the driver back and it worked okay - have you updated recently?

Hmm .. thanks DrewPee - that could be possible. I download automatically
all Windows Update - so I install updates quite frequently.

The strange think is just the fact - that the sound is working when the
notebook is plugged in the socket .. hmm ...
