Hi all,
Here is my entry for this nice compo!
It's a little experiment in pixel shaders capable to display any image in only 4 colors, everything is done in realtime on the gpu, and to make it less boring I have added a cos/sin X/Y image displacement distortion.
Using the same colors palette used by Xalthorn on Xalboy entry, which looked great to me.
Requires: PS 2.0 + d3dx9_32.dll
Enjoy!

Hehe you got the 20th ;)
You can't beat a textured cube, and I love the wibbly wobbly warping effect. Shame the texture wraps at the extreme warp (unless it was intentional). Maybe cap the min and max texture coords so it will hold the colour at the ends rather than rolling over (assuming that each texture has a flat colour line at each warping edge).

*ucking rocks! Effective prod.
If you choose Mario you can't lose!!! :boxer:

I like this a lot. You are making big leaps with Pixelshaders and Directx Rbz :) Thanks for supporting the comp and good luck with the voting!

Nice piece RBZ, but it may need a quick re-work as i'm sure can see 5 colours in there.....

OMG, you were right, a typo on shader code and white color appeared, fixed now...
Thanks for spotting this bug.

Smb3 pic (where the chess-floor) is the coolest side of the cube, mario looks like flying out of the texture with your nice shader.
I could watch this spinning for hours.

Thanks dudes
Btw, you can change those image by any jpg image that you want, just rename those in Texture folder, I recommend 512x512 image size.
