Title: Front Page (again!) ~ Your help needed!

It might look like nothing has been done about our horrible front page for a long time but I have been working hard on it behind the scenes.

I've developed my own multi-page portal that is very customisable. I'm going to include content according to popular feedback I've had from here and from the moderators, most of your suggestions are going to make it in!

It's going to totally transform the look of the front page and at long last there will be three showcases.

One will be for competition winners (top threes).. All competition winners will be available to download from that page with download counters etc.
Another will be for resources for things like Tinyptc, and all the fantastic sound libs we have.
Another will be for stand-out productions from members of this forum. I have decided to give people who are a member of this board free hosting for things up to 10mb. Those things will be hosted in the showcase, external linking will be allowed so you could host it here and put the direct download link anywhere, and as long as it's not abused I wont block it.

There will be lots of other additions too.

You all give so much of your expertise to help other people here, it really is an honour to provide this place for you.
I need help with the links page though.

The links page template I made for DBF is really cool. It displays link name, description pops up when you roll the mouse over and it stores the amount of times it was clicked.

So any of your favourite sites, please list them in this topic with a little description so I can add them to the database.

The sites could be your own sites or places you have enjoyed or found useful.

Template is being deployed for the demo group Codigos first (its very nearly finished) and then more features will be added to fit DBF.

Hey :) Just an idea :

Could we see somewhere on the front page some kind of a TOP 3 or TOP 5 about karma ? From what I see, karma is given to people sharing useful code and/or sharing their knowledge by helping people. IMHO, It'd be nice to honor them with something like that ;) Just my two cents.

When the Fonts pages will be ready? for example  DBF LOGO along with Tutorial,  Shoutbox and finally Picture of all the demo that people made!

I will be putting an intermediate version online tomorrow :)

At first it will just have;

News, Forums, Contact, Links

These four pages are complete and I am testing them now. The other content will be added bit by bit over the coming couple of weeks as it is completed.

Awesome work. I know that it is a lot of work - doing templating,
css and PHP coding from scratch to produce such a portal site.

Btw, I need to apologise Benny, I broke external links from other sites straight in here again, I'll fix that right now :)

The next thing to get done is going to be the resources section. That will mean that all the sound libs, frameworks and cool tools will be available from the front page. I expect it to be done by tomorrow night :)

It looks really cool Shockwave dude, it looks stunning. Welldone.

Unless my eye sight is going. One thing that is hard to make out, is the dark blue colour used on the text for regular / new users.

Good news, I have finished the code for the showcase page.
It will display the winning entries for all our competitions.

Here's how it will work..

You'll visit the SHOWCASE PAGE.

Then there will be a list of all our challenges;

CHALLENGE 1
CHALLENGE 2
CHALLENGE 3
Etc...

When you choose a challenge it will give you an overview of that challenge and underneath the overview, the podium places entries will be displayed for people to download.

It all seems to work fine but unfortunately I have a lot of information to collate for this major update.

I'll get it online as quick as I can, probably it will be done by Wednesday, I'll try and do it sooner though.
