The avatar & the custom title seems to flow right into the post beneath.

Strange looks more like a browser glitch? What browser and version are you using? I don't get it on IE or FF, but maybe its been fixed?

I couldn't find anything wrong with it Cirux so perhaps Phoenix had a glitch as you said.
