hi, i just got following info from a german scene mate:
Tomorrow (04.12.2008) the german "ZDF Infokanal" will show the second edition of the documentation series "Elektrischer Reporter". This edition is called "Neues aus Digitalien", loads of interviews have been arranged while the Evoke demoparty took place last Summer. A german article with background information can be obtained from here. Shortly after the broadcast you can watch the video of this release at this point -> http://www.elektrischer-reporter.de/ (http://www.elektrischer-reporter.de/)

Sounds very intriquing, wonder if there'll be an English translation?

@Clyde:

I'm positively surprised!
That was a very good coverage of the subject including many detailed aspects.
Although I'm pretty sick of the permanent reference to the cracking-scene in such reports, this was the first to actually show some classic cracktros.

video is online with the title: "Hollywood in 64 Kilobyte"

It was quite interesting, but always to short... :)

I got the gist of it even though I dont speak great German, a pretty interesting clip, though it pretty much seemed to follow the format of the wikipedia entry for the demoscene.
I'd really love to see one of these films dedicated totally to 8 and 16 bit stuff but I doubt it's got enough eye candy for tv.
