nice intro guys well done :D
loved the logo,music,effects :D
hated the non existing window option ::)
-
I know there is no virus in it - but just a note - that
with the used exe-packer my AntiVir pops up.
I would advise not to use an exe packer on an release
which isn't a size-production (like 4kb, 64kb) anyway.
You just exclude potential viewers of your product ;-)
Well, just my 2cts. The intro is cool btw ;-)
-
Kaspersky can't find a threat :)
You know I like things like this, especially the logo by Jizzy, it's properly Jizzed, you're great at doing those intricate little cracks in stonework.
The file is 393kb so I am guessing that it's a 24 bit picture? I can understand why you did that, it would be a shame to downgrade the quality of the logo.
UPX is a pretty safe option to pack files without giving alerts, though it's not as efficient as other packers you can be sure that it won't scare your audience away.
I love it that you are coding again :) I missed Dawn productions.
-
no threats here too, using norton.
also tried upx303w and kkrunchy_023a under norton without threat problems, don't know about other AV behaviors.
-
Im pretty sure that this is yet another great release from dAWN.
However, I am having problems with the exe in the rar archive. AVG8 tells me that there is a virus called heur, and will not allow me to use it, and sends to my virus vault.
I shall retry in the morning with IE7 and WinZip, instead of google chrome and Power Archiver 09.
-
hope it will work clyde :)
anyway.. here is another little update done with another cruncher
dl it on the first post :)
-
Nice one Dawn Family, update works a charm. :D
Out of interest what screen res do you use? I tend to use 640 x 480 in my stuff.
I dont want to say it's a bit slow, as my PC isnt that powerful as other people in todays standards.
Cheers and all the very best,
Clyde.
-
Nice, it works fine on my Vista laptop. :updance:
-
Great logo! Top tune! Works on my Vista with AVG8 installed :)

-
Keep that new cruncher - it is way better. Runs without any
virus warning now.
Some further comments to the intro:
You guys really know how to bring back/produce that oldschool
cracktro atmosphere. I really like it. All runs smooth here on
my machine. Thanks for the greet. And what I really like is
the idea about Sitegreetings. That's a pretty good idea...
Keep it up!
-
Awesome.
-
Everytime a text-page has been drawn it disappears for a single frame - maybe it's design but I find it annoying.
Logo and giana-sisters-tune are great.
Now just make it 64k.
-
very great and stylish oldskool intro! i really love its design, effects, very kewl logo and scroller...!!
Excellent work! Btw thx for greetz :)
-
Looking forward to the next dawn creation ;)
-
Jizzy left to join Tristar, Dr.Death offered you graphics Clyde, maybe you'll be the next one to release something to use their graphics? :p
-
Its all gone a bit slow for us with me having another baby which is due the 24th december & energy having a son now too. Next year i hope we will back :updance:
It would be great if you did use something of mine clyde.
-
Was that logo drawn from scratch, or made first in 3d or with vectors, and then warped and drawn over?
-
I think Jizzy draws them in 3D and then uses Photoshop for the details.
-
Yes... no dAWN codings at mo...
Some people left and other are very integrated in proffessional
coding, like me and Dextro ,so sorry for this. :'(
We own a lot of Jizzy's and Dr.Death Grafix and im sure
that well use them from time to time in future...
-
Professional coding ? I am curious - are you in the game
business ? Can we expect a dAWN game ?
-
No,Benny...
In German Car Industrie programming Robots,PLCs and Visuals
for building Cars and Komponents... ;)
-
Ah OK - programming robots sounds cool, too ;-)
