Title: [Time Challenge] PV3D experimental clock
Post by: benny! on March 27, 2009
Hi,

since deadline is today, here is my little experimental entry showing
seconds (purple box) and minutes (greenbox). Requires Flash9.0.

LAUNCH EXPERIMENTAL CLOCK (http://www.weltenkonstrukteur.de/2009/03/experimental-pv3d-clock/?sbx_run=2009%2F03%2Fpv3dclock&sbx_width=800&sbx_height=600)

Unfortunately, I didnt manage to implement everything I wanted -
that's why it is not really finished and polished. Well ...  ::)

This is a neat way to abstract data!
I would have liked to see the hour hand but what you have is really cool anyway!
Nice entry. ;)

Thanks buddy!

Yeah, actually I wanted to implement that hour hand - that's actually
the reason why I came up with the chessgrid with the dimension of 6x4
(=24 hrs). But unfortunately I ran out of time plus my tries of visualization
doesn't look that good. Well ... next time I need to start earlier I guess  ::)

Very interesting idea, it looks alittle strange at first but once you see it move about it makes sense. Nice 3d feel to the movements as well :)

Cool!
Sometimes the perspective makes it a bit difficult to identify the current field, but I totally like the style.

Thanks TinDragon, that's much appreciated.

Glad you like it - and you are right sometimes it is a bit difficult to identify the current
field...

I like that, it's very different to what I thought it would be.

Good work Benny, it's like a 3D time board from artistic angles.

The movements are very smooth. If this were real I could see a market for it.
