Just a little note to let you know that I have altered some settings..

There are more topics per page displayed now.
There are more replies per page displayed now.
You may reply to older topics (up to 200 days old) without the forum complaining.

If you want me to increase it further, please let me know :)

Yay! The defaults are a bit tight for an active forum like this.

I set it to:

Topics per page in the message index: 30 topics
Posts per page in a topic page: 30 posts

I had no idea, that the forum complains if you reply to an old topic.

It used to display a warning message if someone posted in a topic that was >=120 days old, I didn't really feel it was a ppropriate here because lots of our old topics have interesting things in them which people may find when searching the board, and they may well want to ask questions about those topics, I don't want that to be discouraged.
