Or a brand name, the idea is to have a platform to release demos into the demoscene with a group label, there will be no group members to DBF but there will be quality control.
I intend to release some of my future demos as joint prods between Codigos and DBF as I am a member of Codigos.
The first one will come soon (ish).
If anyone is thinking of releasing a demo with the DBF label on it, please contact me first before you do it. I don't want to flood the scene with products, I would rather us work on some projects which can be released at parties.
I am working on getting a bank of logos and music that we can use.
Please note that we will not be releasing flat shaded vectors or copperbars of such things so don't even think about it! Everything that gets put out will be a reflection on this community so it must be relevant and of a minimum standard.

Good idea. Like it. There are not only group members around
and for them it might be a good chance to label their production.
Also it is a good way of giving something back to the community
in some way I think.

Since the majority are just coders here - this gives them the
oppurtunity to polish their code with some nice GFX and music.

Well it will be good to see the DBF name on some new intro's/demos.
I think anyone who wants to make something and release it with DBF then it should be submitted to you for approval, as you say it must not be a flood of demos with no quality control or it might harm this great community we have. So I urge anyone thinking about making something DBF to pass it by shockwave and lets show the scene DBF deserve's there notice. Ferris is an example of how this community can help create the next scene stars :)

TinDragon: Means alot for you to say that...I must say joining DBF back in the day actually was a HUUUUUGE influential stepping stone for me (though, "scene star" isn't quite a status I feel worthy of just yet ;) )
Anyways allowing everyone to submit with quality control I think is a perfect idea for this board. REally, k++ because I can't tell you how great of an idea this is :)

If anyone feels like doing a production for DBF at any point, please just PM me your idea, I'll try and organise some gfx/sound for it as well if you need it.
I'd like to see them released at parties if possible, but all contributions will help.
